    Vicent Martinez (Burjassot, 1949), is the latest addition to Point’s team of designers. He has just designed the ONDULAT collection. Among others, he has won the Spanish National Design Prize, awarded to Puntmobles in 1997 and has been president of the AIDIMA Technological Institute.     As every year we offer new suggestions for enjoying outdoor life to the full. In 2018 we will be introducing the ONDULAT collection, expanding our WEAVE designs, and incorporating new compositions and finishes to the PAL, WEEKEND and BUT collections.

    The novelty for next season, ONDULAT, Vicente Martínez’s timeless design, which consists of a lounger and a five-position reclining chair. The pieces of this collection are designed for relaxing in the sun, by the sea or by the swimming pool. They are made with an extruded aluminum tube structure, in which a Batyline self-supporting fabric base is inserted, and they are extraordinarily light and comfortable.     Lighting can modify the visual perception of a space. It can be used to create different environments and to illuminate spaces devoted to different activities. It is, therefore, a key element both inside and outside our home.

    For outdoor illumination that will allow us to enjoy long evenings in the open air, the best method is to combine good general lighting with spot lighting and other types of decorative lighting, to provide each space with the light it needs for its different uses.

    The reading and dining areas of the terrace or garden should be well illuminated with warm light. If you want to give a more intimate touch to the table at which the diners sit, you can add candles. If, on the contrary, you are looking for a more festive atmosphere, it might be a good idea to use fairy lights: you can roll them around a pillar or hang them over the table. Continue Reading
